Complete your early Toyota restoration project in style!
These 'TEQ' Toyota Motor Corp Build Plates were fitted in the engine bay of all early model Toyota's built during the mid and late 1960's and early 1970's. Generally these were used up till December 1974, but this may vary in some countries.
We have seen these on Crown, Corolla, Corona, Mark ii, Stout, Hilux and Landcruiser just to name a few models.
You may find that your original plate is missing (these are not a VIN!) as an owner may have removed it for painting of sometimes they have corroded and are no longer legible.
The plate was used to inform the production line workers as to what model engine was to be fitted to the vehicle - part of Toyota's quality program!
Our reproduction part is exacting in every detail. We currently have one of these fitted to our Toyota Heritage KE17 race car and receive numerous compliments about how well this completes our car and the finish and standard of the plate itself.
The pricing includes having your car's data applied to the plate before we ship it to you.
